What Is Leadership?

A Leader is someone who takes charge, a guide, a frontrunner, one who is dependable and has a "get it done" attitude. Someone who is in control, who has authority, a go-to when you have an important project to complete, or a new idea you want to introduce.

When you think of leaders and leadership you may think of the Owner of a company, a CEO of a corporation, an Entrepeneuer who started a business, someone at the helm of an organization...Even without a leadership title, there are those that always get the job done. From top sales people to community volunteers, they have drive and ambition, and they are always successful month after month..

But what got them there? How does someone end up being defined in that role as Leader? How did they become the one that now guides that organization, and drives them to their objectives?

There are always those that stand out, even in childhood...you have the star athlete, the standout in the school play, the president of the school government...and so on. Charisma seems to be something that some are just born with. Others have to work hard at their popularity...but it doesn't have to be so.

When you define and follow your passion, your natural talents will stand out. You will drive your successes and become the leader. You will become the go-to and the frontrunner. Those youngsters that were successful early in life were using their natural talents...and many times that's accidental. As an adult, we learn what our strengths are from experience (and yes, sometimes by accident), but hopefully by design.

Follow your passions. Base your objectives on them. Set your goals in such a way that they become stepping stones to those objectives. Stop living your life as a square peg trying to fit into a round hole. You will become an amazing leader once you're working with your natural strengths and talents and marching down the right path
