Skipping Time

Isn't it interesting how we make so many promises to ourselves, and then we break them? Why do we do that? We keep our promises to others everyday. If you have a job, you show up to work...If you have children, you care for them daily...You show up for your spouse or significant other.

Why do most of us break our own promises?

Why do we let time go by? It flies...It slips...We end up on the other side of a day, or a week or a year...and we haven't accomplished the thing we set out to do.

We carry with us emotional baggage that makes us procrastinate. Unfortunately Louis Vuitton was already taken, so we call our baggage grief, fear, depression, sadness...Excuses that we all use, so we help each other, "enable" each other to get away with it. We are all so understanding of each other because we have all experienced emotions that hold us back...We have all experienced "reality".

But emotion is the very thing that can propel us to the next level...so, how do you get off of the baggage carousel of negative thought and into alignment with your good thoughts? The ones that give you joy and happiness and excitement...where you glow and shine and exude confidence. How do you shield yourself from the negativity that surrounds us, and start surrounding yourself with positive energy?

Recognition. Changing your responses. Changing your conversations. The ones in your head, and the ones you're having with others. Everyone has heard the saying "you are what you eat" , so why do you think "you are what you think" would be any different?

"Reality" can be a big scary monster when you always expect the worst. Or you can make your own reality...by looking for the good in your life, and when you don't see it, ask why? Good is always there. You might just have to focus in a different direction.
